মিয়ানমারের রাখাইনের ইন ডিন গ্রামে দশজন রোহিঙ্গা পুরুষের গণহত্যার যে রিপোর্ট-ছবি রয়টার্স ফাস করেছে তার মধ্যে একজন ছিলেন মওলানা আব্দুল মালিক। যিনি একাধারে একজন আলেম ও স্থানীয় মসজিদের ইমাম ছিলেন। সেই মসজিদে আজান দেয়ার জন্য কোন লাউডস্পিকার ব্যবহারের অনুমতি ছিলনা। তবুও মওলানা আব্দুল মালিকের কন্ঠেই আজান ধ্বনিত হতো এই গ্রামীন জনপদে। তার কাছেই ইসলামের শিক্ষা পেত ইন ডিনের দরিদ্র মানুষেরা। তিনি সেই ক্ষুদ্র জনপদে ছিলেন ইসলামের একমাত্র আলোকবাহী।

এবার দেখুন এই মওলানা আব্দুলকে কিভাবে মিয়ানমারের সেনা এবং রাখাইন বৌদ্ধরা হত্যা করেছে। একমাত্র তাকেই শিরচ্ছেদ করা হয়েছে। তার ধড় থেকে মাথা আলাদা করা হয়েছে ধারালো অস্ত্র দিয়ে। আব্দুল মালিকের প্রতি এই আলগা আক্রোশ কেন? তিনি আলেম ছিলেন তাই? তিনি ইসলামের আলো জ্বালিয়ে রেখেছিলেন তাই? এছাড়া তো আর কোন কারণ নেই এমন আলগা নৃশংসতা করার। তাহলে মিয়ানমারে যা চলছে সেটা শুধু নিছক রোহিঙ্গা বিদ্বেষ নয়? এই গণহত্যার পিছনে কি লুকিয়ে আছে গভীর এক ইসলাম বিদ্বেষ?

আন্তর্জাতিক মহলকে আমি এই বিষয়টা খতিয়ে দেখার অনুরোধ করছি।

Maulana Abdul Malik was one of the 10 Rohingya men who were massacred in Inn Din village of Myanmar’s Rakhine state, as we find from the sensational report, including photos, which Reuters has produced. Maulana Abdul was an Islamic teacher and also the Imam of the village’s only mosque. Loudspeaker was banned in that mosque where he took the role of the Muezzin. He was the Islamic teacher for the village’s poor Muslim Rohingya children and like a torchbearer of Islam in Inn Din.

Look, how the Maulana was slaughtered during the massacre by the soldiers and the Buddhist villagers. Among the ten Rohingya men, only he was beheaded using a sharp weapon like sword or machete. It’s clear the perpetrators held an extra vengeance for him. Was his head severed because he was an Islamic teacher and village cleric? Was he “punished” or slaughtered that way because he was in the leading role to keep Islam alive in the village? I don’t find any other reason behind the beheading of the Rohingya maulana.

Are the Rohingya people being violently targeted in Myanmar not because they are “foreign interlopers”- as the Burmese Buddhists and Myanmar authorities call them. Is it actually an anti-Islam hate campaign which is driving this genocidal attack against the #Rohingya in #Myanmar?

I request the international communities to look into this aspect of the anti-Rohingya violence in Myanmar.
